As a local to the area since 2001, community engagement has always been a big focus of mine. After graduating from South Walton High School, I had an opportunity to further my education while playing college baseball. I attended Piedmont College in beautiful North Georgia where I earned my undergrad degrees in finance and accounting. In 2015, I was awarded the Educational Foundation of The Georgia Society of Certified Public Accounts Inc. Excellence in account award. I was a part of the Delta Mu Delta business honor society and on the Dean’s list for four consecutive semesters. I was fortunate to have professors who were experts in their field for several years. I discovered many useful lessons and information only gained through real world experience. After graduating, I went on to achieve my master’s in business administration from Piedmont College. Since graduating, I have obtained my Series 7, Series 66, insurance license, and significant experience in the financial industry.
In my opinion, one of the most impactful way to serve the community is assisting those who are uncertain of their retirement plan. Retirement planning can be confusing, stressful, and impactful for the rest of your life. Will I outlive my retirement? When do I take social security? What happens to my spouse if I pass away? The expertise I have gained over the years allow me to effectively connect with our clients in the development of their own personal retirement strategy. My promise to you before leaving our office, you will have a better understanding, much more clarity, and learned something about your current retirement plan.
I was lucky enough to meet my better half while in school. My wife Molly, who is from Michigan (and talks funny to us southerners), teaches Kindergarten at Dune Lakes Elementary and coaches women’s lacrosse. We were blessed with our baby boy Liam in August of 2019 and is our only child. He loves trucks, lights, and dogs (who doesn’t, right?). Events we enjoy as a family are going to the beach, fishing, hiking, and hosting events for friends and loved ones.
This information about me hopefully gives you a better understanding of who I am and how my background is geared toward prepping our clients for the unexpected during retirement.
